My creativity audit & planner - restoring teen's & adult's creative confidence
This is a very effective planner for both teenagers and adults.
First, the focus on the worksheets are on remembering creative times in the past, and who and who did not support their ideas, art, creativity etc. and also what activities they loved doing. There is an opportunity to look at past challenging beliefs and even perceived disinterest from those around them. These sheets can be used again and again, as experiences and ideas naturally change.
Next, the focus is identifying interest areas and passions that their creativity can be the focus of.
The Creativity Now pages, 1. 2, and 3, can be used again and again as suits. They help teens and adults to plan small achievable and accessible creative actions, and also more resource heavy creative projects.
The last page, is all about creating your own empowering Creative Mantras/ Sayings, with some examples given that they can adapt or use themselves.
Ideas for using this while teaching:
-break up the worksheets into a sheet a day
- introduce a case study of a real or imagined person's own creative challenges etc., or speak of your own
- place students into pairs and do a think pair share to the class exercise for questions that are less personal in the booklet.
